美國耶魯大學（Yale University）哲學系教授史坦利（Jason Stanley）因為擔憂美國的政治環境，決定離開美國、前往加拿大的大學任教。他3月26日告訴英國《衛報》，他擔心美國正逐漸走向「法西斯獨裁」。

在耶魯大學任教12年的史坦利研究法西斯主義，曾在2018年出版《法西斯如何運作》（How Fascism Works: The Politics of Us and Them）一書，近期接受了加拿大多倫多大學孟克全球事務公共政策學院（Munk School of Global Affairs & Public Policy）的教職邀請。史坦利表示，他原本還在猶豫是否要離開美國，直到上個月哥倫比亞大學（Columbia University）「屈服」於川普政府的施壓後，他才下定決心：「我想讓孩子在一個不會走向法西斯獨裁的國家長大。」
