傳單根本不叫DM，奧客也不叫bad customer！這6個台灣人超常講錯的購物英文，老外其實聽攏嘸

發票

（X）invoice（O）receipt

許多人都會把 invoice 跟 receipt 搞混，但 invoice 是指買家購買商品但尚未付款時，賣家給的明細，比較像「帳單」的概念，提醒你要記得付錢。receipt 則是付完款後由店家提供的證明，也就是「發票」，別再把這兩個字搞錯啦！此外還要注意 receipt 唸作 /rɪˈsit/，中間的 p 不發音唷。

A: I would like to return some items.A: 我要把這些衣服退掉。B: Okay, do you have a receipt?B: 好的，麻煩您出示發票唷。A: Here you go.A: 給你。B: I’m sorry ma’am. 殺價

雖然「殺時間，打發時間」的英文會說 kill time，但「殺價」可不是 kill the price，而是要用 bargain /ˈbɑrgən/ 這個字，例如：bargain with sb. (和某人殺價)。

A: Did you go for a big shop?A: 你是去瘋狂大採購嗎？B: Yeah, I bought a lot of meat and vegetables at the wet market.B: 對啊，我去菜市場買了一堆肉跟蔬菜。A: I try to avoid wet markets. 相信大家逛街時最害怕銷售員拿著保養品走來叫你試用，耳根子一軟就買下去了，不僅價錢貴鬆鬆，有些牌子甚至連聽都沒聽過，又或是買回去才發現自己被「敲竹槓或被騙錢」了！雖然這種情況就像被騙了，但英文並不會說 cheated，而會說 ripped off。

A: I got a great deal on this set of skincare products. It was a real bargain!A: 我買了一整組的護膚品，超划算的！B: Really? How much?B: 真假？多少錢啊？A: The salesperson said it’s 50 percent off! 貨比三家

在街上看到喜歡的東西可別太快下手！小 V 就有好幾次買貴的經驗，所以記得一定要 shop around。around 意指「四處；周圍」，所以 shop around 就像是東看西看、「貨比三家」，好幫自己的荷包省點錢啊！

百貨公司、大賣場總是會有發傳單的人，雖然我們常常聽到人家說 DM，但 DM 其實是 direct mail 的縮寫，是指公司、組織的文宣廣告，常附在 email 裡面。實體的「傳單」可以說 flyer/leaflet，而「發傳單」可以說 distribute flyers 或 hand out flyers。補充：brochure 則是指三折頁的「小冊子」。
