1. Cheer 作為動詞使用時，表示「歡呼；喝彩；鼓舞」為不及物動詞。片語 cheer sb. up 的意思是「鼓舞…，使…開心、振作起來」；片語 cheer sb. on 指的是「（在比賽中）替…加油打氣」。
